Congratulations to everyone who took part in AND2

"Art’s Not Dead is a show which celebrates community, the arts, and living life. Celebrating who we are, what we can do, and what we love: sharing that with one another. Recognizing the threads that connect every one of us that cannot be denied or taken away. The connections we have no matter where we are, or where we are from. The show welcomes all forms of art: music, graphic design, illustration, printmaking, drawing, animation, video, painting, sculpture, installation, performance, ETC, you name it we’ll allow it. Seeing as much diversity as possible joined together is ideal!"

ART'S NOT DEAD 2

Hi! It's been a while and I hope you are well
Good news, good news!

Mr. Bradford Rusick and Miss Lindsey Parker will be putting on a
SECOND ART'S NOT DEAD!!!

What is ART'S NOT DEAD?
An event first created in 2010, by Bradford Rusick. It was a night that enabled his friends/ fellow artists to come together for a night of live music and displaying artwork.
It was a great time!
And not only that, ART'S NOT DEAD was one of the key inspirations for helping to create BEST MINDS, an event that also dedicated itself to bring friends, music and art together.

THIS YEAR FOR ART'S NOT DEAD2:

* Work will be juried

* "YOU NAME IT WE'LL ALLOW IT"
ALL forms of art are encouraged for submission

* DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSION: FEBRUARY 5TH, 2011

* OPENING NIGHT FEBRUARY 19th, 5 pm
See you there!

Friends Recent Posts!

It's always nice to read about what people have been thinking about in response to making work for BEST MINDS.

AMY MOORE: "It felt really good and organic to draw again. I have been having so much difficulty communicating lately. All day at work I am counting seconds and making tally marks and prompting non-verbal children to form approximations of words. By the time I get home I am completely incapable of conversation. And it has been so difficult to even think about creating, let alone MAKING SOMETHING..."

ABIGAIL CARR: "They commemorating young warm-weather-times. Commemorate |kəˈmeməˌrāte verb [ trans. ]
* recall and show respect for (someone or something) in a ceremony
* serve as a memorial to
* mark (a significant event)
*celebrate
According to this definition, that is really what all of my pieces, not just the flags, are meant to do, their purpose..."
